Recipe Collab: Watercress Toasted Quinoa Avocado Salad with Turmeric Ginger Miso Dressing

Just when you thought a salad made with protein-packed Toasted Quinoa and heart healthy avocado couldn't get any better for you - we throw in some EatSpice Turmeric and fresh ginger. EatSpice spices are probiotic, so they contain healthy bacteria that can support digestive health, enhance protein utilization and boost your immune function. Add to that turmeric's anti-inflammatory properties and ginger's digestive benefits and you've got yourself a very functional, but delicious meal. 




  • 1 bunch of chopped watercress
  • 1/2 cup I Heart Keenwah Toasted Quinoa, cooked and cooled
  • 1/2 avocado
  • toasted sesame seeds (to taste)


  • 1/4 cup peanut oil (or neutral oil)
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 3 Tbs miso paste
  • 1 Tbs soy sesame oil
  • 2 carrots, grated
  • 1 inch long piece fresh ginger
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 Tbs EatSpice Turmeric


Put all dressing ingredients in a food processor and pulse for a minute until chunky-smooth. Add water (no more than 1/2 cup) to thin out dressing to arrive at desired consistency.

Spread over watercress, quinoa, and avocado salad. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds.
